Scholarship opportunities for OMHS volunteers
At OMHS, we appreciate the special things volunteers do to make our hospital better. By giving of their time and talents, volunteers are an essential part
of our mission to heal the sick and to improve the health of our community.
The OMHS Volunteer Auxiliary is committed to helping those volunteers--current and former--who have chosen to pursue a career in healthcare. Our scholarship program is an investment in healthcare and education, and in the volunteers who are helping us build a reputation for excellent patient care.
About the program
- Up to five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each awarded each semester
- Scholarships are awarded in two increments of $500
- Applicants must be pursuing a healthcare career at a college or university
- Applicants should be a current or former OMHS volunteer OR an OMHS employee who is not eligible for tuition reimbursement
- Current application deadline is April 1, 2009; winners will be announced in May
- Checks are paid out to the school of choice in August
