Pastoral Care Services at OMHS

As a new patient at OMHS, you can expect a visit from one of our pastoral care volunteers, who will confirm your religious affiliation. This is an important step, as it helps us to coordinate your spiritual care with churches and ministers with whom you are already affiliated. Also, Eucharist ministers take communion to all in-house Catholic patients.

Of course, we understand that your spiritual views are personal. If you do not have a religious affiliation or would rather not share it, please tell our volunteers.

OMHS staff chaplains visit all hospital units daily and are available 24 hours a day. Our services include:

• Prayer and scripture
• Sacramental needs
• Religious services
• Prayer requests for surgery patients
• Visitation

Spiritual Counseling
Spiritual counselng is also available from our compassionate, highly-trained chaplains. If you're facing difficult decisions, struggling with your emotions, or needing to make a lifestyle change, we can help.
