Being informed will help you feel comfortable and safe after your procedure.

Here is what you need to know:

• After your procedure, a nurse will monitor your vital signs and ensure that you’re comfortable when you awaken from anesthesia.

• You’ll stay in the outpatient department until your physician, anesthesiologist and nurse determine that you’re ready to be discharged.

• Then, your admitting physician will write a discharge order and provide discharge instructions.
