Congratulations to Mary Danhauer and the McAuley Clinic on receiving the Medical Service Award  from Health Kentucky. Thanks for your service to our community.

It’s the heart of our mission.

Mary Danhauer, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

  • Recently served three years in Jamaica as a medical clinic volunteer, providing free healthcare to the underprivileged.
  • Previously practiced at Owensboro Primary Clinic.

Healing the sick, improving the health of our community—regardless of their ability to pay.

At the McAuley Clinic, it’s a mission we take seriously. We exist for one reason: to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to those who are least able to afford it--low-income individuals not covered by insurance, Medicaid or Medicare.

Each year, the McAuley Clinic provides healthcare for over 7,000 patients.

We provide physical exams, treat minor illnesses, and help those with conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure stay on track.

When patients need more specialized treatment, we work with community agencies like DC-CAP and GRDHD to secure referrals to specialty physicians. Last year, the McAuley Clinic made 178 referrals to specialists.

The McAuley Clinic is staffed by an outstanding team of compassionate medical professionals, led by Mary Danhauer, a nurse practitioner with an extraordinary record of patient care and community service. Mary spent three years in Jamaica as a missionary, providing medical care to the underprivileged.

Are we making a difference?

We think so. In fact, 48 percent of our patients say that without the clinic, they would have no access to healthcare. Another 40 percent say they would have gone to the emergency room. That’s what OMHS is all about—making a difference in the health of our community.

Did You Know? The McAuley Clinic offers mammogram screenings through a collaboration with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Call 270-926-6575.
