OMHS Pediatric Care:  A Safe Place for Children

Nurses are Pediatric Care Certified, receive regular training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and pass an annual skill competency for administering child medications, pediatric emergency and pediatric equimpment. 

During Your Child’s Stay

The average pediatric inpatient stay at OMHS is three and a half days.  During a child’s care, parents are welcome and encouraged to stay; a comfortable bed and meals are provided.  As part of our safety program, each child is monitored by our Code Alert Security System for his or her additional protection. 

We never forget that our young patients are your children.  It’s our duty to keep you informed about your child’s care so you’re actively involved with his or her individual care plan.
