OMHS Respiratory Care
At OMHS, breathing problems are treated by the Respiratory Care department. The respiratory team is equipped to handle minor problems to life-threatening conditions, treating hospital patients of all ages.
Respiratory Therapists
Respiratory Care consists of therapists who are certified, licensed and registered. Our team uses advanced technology, including state-of-the-art ventilators, and the most effective procedures available.
Critical Care
The Respiratory Care staff responds to critical care needs 24 hours a day. Our unit is fully integrated into the OMHS cardiac team and responds to Code Blue alerts throughout the hospital. We also assist the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Critical Care Unit, and the Emergency Department and respond to asthma attacks and severe allergic reactions. Hospital Services and Diagnostics
In addition to critical care units, Respiratory Care also serves all OMHS clinics and inpatient units. Outpatient treatments are also available. Our diagnostic services include Arterial Blood Gas Testing and Pulmonary Function Tests.
