OMHS Clinical Research:  Seeking Cures…

OMHS participates in clinical cancer trials as part of our ongoing commitment to the community.  Kentucky has one of the highest rates of lung cancer in the country.  As medical professionals we can't stand by and let cancer affect our families, friends and neighbors without doing our part to find treatments to improve survival.

Research Partners and Relationships

The best hope to cure cancer is through collaboration with world-class institutions conducting trials and research.  OMHS, through the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center, maintains partnerships and affiliations with:

  • Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center Clinical Trials Network
  • University of Louisville James Graham Brown Cancer Center
  • Kentucky Clinical Trial Network
  • National Lung Screening Trial
  • Owensboro Cancer Research Program (OCRP)

OMHS is currently conducting supportive cancer research for:

  • Lung Cancer
  • Breast Cancer
  • Ovarian Cancer
  • Head and Neck Cancer
  • Colon Cancer

The OMHS Difference

The medical professionals involved in cancer trials and research are dedicated to finding cures for their friends and family in the community they serve.  Cancer-like no other disease-hits close to home here in Kentucky, and participation in cancer trials and research is our gift to future generations of the region.
